An 8 day immersive experience encouraging creativity, leadership and communication.
Under the direction from our Provincial Health Officer there will be no camp this summer. We believe this is in the best interest for the health and safety of our staff, campers and their families.

Camp is limited to 20 participants. No prior experience in film is required, but you must have a passion for filmmaking, a desire to create change and develop your art in a collaborative environment!
Selected applicants will attend the camp at no charge for activities and accommodation. There will be a fee of $100 per camper to help cover food costs.
Our goal is to align with local groups, organization and communities, in which the short films can be used to help promote, educate and inspire, such as the Association for Denman Island Marine Stewards (ADIMS), the local south island chapter of the Surf Rider Foundation, the Denman Island Conservation Society, and the K'omoks First Nation.

For more than 30 years Hilary Pryor, President of May Street Productions Ltd and Founder of ETC Society, has written, produced and directed over 300 hours of award-winning broadcast programming – documentaries, children’s series and drama. Among other awards, Hilary has received the prestigious Humanitas Prize in Hollywood for writing film and television intended to promote human dignity, meaning, and freedom and The Japan Prize for Innovation in Directing.
Hilary began her career with ETC Society working with young people to help them create their own films targeting positive change. She is excited to get back to her roots!
Kerriann Cardinal calls Vancouver home but is originally from Fort McMurray Alberta. When she isn’t back packing in the mountains or practicing yoga she can be found working on various projects that inspire and create discourse on subjects that are socially relevant, educational and empowering.
She is an actor, story teller and creative collaborator. Her first solo work, A Mile in my Moccassins, provided the opportunity for her to explore and establish herself as an Indigenous Performing Artist. She believes we all have stories to share and hopes to encourage other young story tellers to discover their own voice.
Her experience working with artists, community members, youth and the public in various capacities and in diverse settings such as festivals, special events, film/tv, opera, dance, theatre and music continues to influence and enable her to engage in relevant and meaningful work.
Peter is an award winning documentary filmmaker and cinematographer. He is the president of Gumboot Productions, with 30 years of experience in the film business. He loves phototgrapy, playing drums, and kayaking. He has lots of experience running camps, working with the Sierra Club, The Gulf Islands Film and Television School, Youth in Media and the Intercultural Association.
Peter has produced over fifty films, including films for the CBC, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, the National Film Board of Canada, Bravo! and the Royal BC Museum.
We are Eco Dfndrs. We create, share and collaborate on ideas to get our message out. We don’t just say we care for our environment, we do more. We make films to open people’s eyes, start conversations and inspire action.
