I am twelve years old, and I live in Victoria, BC. I love writing and spending time in nature. Attending the Eco Dfndrs Camp has been a wonderful experience for me. I have learned so much about the ocean, filmmaking and myself. I am already looking forward to attending next year.
Tackles the current Denman ferry issue – the benefits of lower emissions from the cable ferry versus ocean pollution from plastic shedding – from two perspectives combining acted scenes with interviews with a BC Ferries representative and local environmental advocates.
In DFNDRS in ACTION we meet two young, award winning environmental activists, Rupert and Franny. This dynamic brother and sister duo have been working to raise awareness about climate change since they were 10 and 7 years old respectively. They believe “you’re never too young to make the world a better place.
Environmental activists aged 12–15 are invited to apply for a one week all expenses paid Environmental Action Camp on Denman Island, BC. Spend a week creating compelling media – music, drama, documentary, and dance – all with a focus on defending the environment.
