Hi, I’m Marin. I’m an Eco Dfndr.

I’m 12 years old. Seeing as I live on Hornby Island, I love to swim at all the amazing beaches! I’m super grateful that I got to come to this amazing camp and meet all these awesome people! Thank you to all the people who helped, supported, and were nice to me! And a huge thank you to all the staff!

We make that change

Be One With the Fish

A dramatic comedy about how a group of friends learn about the shocking consequences of ingesting micro plastics. No Mermaids were harmed in the making of this movie.

Everyday Miracles are Happening

"The earth has given us our home, it's given us our lives. We can’t take this Earth for granted, please have mercy on our planet. Let’s start today!” This beautiful song of encouragement and hope was written and performed by Dfndrs Ella and Kalena.

You can be a DFNDR!

Environmental activists aged 12–15 are invited to apply for a one week all expenses paid Environmental Action Camp on Denman Island, BC. Spend a week creating compelling media – music, drama, documentary, and dance – all with a focus on defending the environment.
